Kindness Matters

Today we had a kindness assembly with someone Mrs. Dixon and I know and love and she is as beautiful inside as she is outside. 
Kate Middlemiss came to the McAuliffe School today to talk to us about something really REALLY important. Kindness.
Kate & Scott Middlemiss have been on a mission to spread kindness since their beautiful son Joe, earned his angel wings last year. This mission that started in Dracut, MA has traveled all over the world with random acts of kindness from people every single day. It's an incredible mission and the best part about it is that it doesn't take much to be kind. Many acts of kindness are free. 
Here at the McAuliffe School we often see staff and students doing random acts of kindness throughout the day but we would love to see this happening every day. Check out some pics from our assembly and our random act of kindness calendar for December. Thank you so much Kate for taking the time to come to our school. Thank you for your kindness, your strength and your wisdom. 
We learned so much from you and we promise to join you on your mission.

Penny Jar Mission

These jars were decorated by 4th graders and they will be in every classroom for penny collection. Students can bring in pennies to add to the jars which will be collected and donated at the end of the month to local charities.
