Bullying Workshop

“Bullying, Cyberbullying,

and Youth Depression”

A Presentation for Adults
By
John Halligan

Wednesday, April 24, 2013
7:00 – 8:30pm
Butler Middle School Auditorium

Johh Halligan’s son, Ryan, died by suicide on
October 7, 2003 after being bullied by classmates at school and online. He was 13 years old.
Halligan’s presentation will cover the lessons

learned too late for his family regarding how

to deal with bullying, cyberbullying, and teen

depression.

Parents will be empowered with strategies to

take preventive actions with their    own

children.

“Primetime with Diane Sawyer devoted an

entire episode to cyberbullying and Ryan’s

story called “Cruel Intentions.” Along with his

wife Kelly, he also appeared in the PBS

Frontline special called “Growing up On-Line”

and on the Oprah Winfrey Show. We are

grateful that Mr. Halligan is coming to Lowell

to share his story with us.
