Happy Thanksgiving

We wish all of our McAuliffe School Families a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Think about all that you have to be thankful for. Most importantly, each other.
Here are some pictures from our annual Thanksgiving assembly. We love gathering together at this special time of year to have all of this fun. We sang songs, read a story about the First Thanksgiving (read by 2 awesome 4th graders).
We also played our annual Thanksgiving Jeopardy and danced.

Two teams of teachers were picked out of a hat for Thanksgiving jeopardy....

Team One:
The Goofy Gobblers
Mrs. Markey
Mrs. Thompson
Miss Gobron
Ms. Kilgren

Team Two:
The Super Snoods
Mrs. Hart
Mrs. Macintosh
Miss Davis
Mrs. Carelli

They worked really hard to answer all of the Thanksgiving Trivia questions. With the help of the audience we had one winner and the winning team is....THE GOOFY GOBBLERS!!!!

Yay Team!!!

Here is some of the rest of the fun that we had today.

We have 2 teachers who also play recorder!! They are awesome!!
Ms. Hart & Mrs. Lebron, Grade 2

Mrs. Sweeney's Friendship Feast

In the spirit of Thanksgiving and being thankful for one another, the kindergarteners in Mrs. Sweeney's classroom shared in a Friendship Fruit Salad.
Here is what Mrs. Sweeney had to say about it...

The students were asked to each bring in 1 piece of fruit and we worked together to wash, cut, assemble and enjoy our Friendship Fruit Salad.  The parent response to my request for a piece of fruit was amazing!  The students had such fun!

Check out their friendship fruit fun!

Happy Thanksgiving Day Everyone!

Thanks for giving!

This is such a busy time of year at the McAuliffe! We love to give back to our community all year long but especially at Thanksgiving because we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a meal with their loved ones during such a special time and give thanks for one another, for their child's education and a wonderful "home away from home" at the McAuliffe School. Thank you to our families who provided food for so many Thanksgiving meal boxes that are being distributed this week. We appreciate you. Thank you to the McAuliffe PTO for boxing it all up and sending it off. Thank you to Mrs. Moulton, who is always doing amazing things for everyone in our McAuliffe School Family.

In Honor Of Veteran's Day...

The McAuliffe School will be honoring Veteran's Day on Tuesday November 11th, 2014. We will be sending some of our Halloween candy to soldiers fighting for our country. We are so happy to share with such amazing people who continue to fight for our freedom and our country. We love our soldiers. We love our veterans. We thank them for all that they have done for us. We thank you for all of the candy!
